The Manager
My name is Donna and I’ve been a Lost Boys an since I was 11, in 1994. Pretty long time, I know, but not as long as others. I’ve been avidly collecting movie memoribilia since I was 18, able to get a credit card and then an account on eBay. It’s been madness ever since. In 2006 I had the pleasure of meeting Brooke McCarter, Billy Wirth, Chance Michael Corbitt and Jamison Newlander at Monster Mania in New Jersey and have met up with them at subsequent gatherings (including another Monster Mania, where I met Coreys Haim and Feldman, and the 20th anniversary party in Santa Cruz in 2007, and have also met Gerard McMann, the voice behind Cry Little Sister). I’m always on the lookout for more Lost Boys stuff to collect but lately I’ve been getting picky. I guess I can be when I have nearly everything there is to collect! But there’s still stuff out there. You just have to look for it.
On a slightly more personal note, I live in New England with a desperate desire to move out to the Central Coast of California. If you’ve been there, you’ll know what I mean. The cold just sucks. I’ve lived in New York City and London and have traveled around a fair part of Europe while doing study abroad for my final semester of college. I have my Bachelor’s of English with a minor in creative writing and massive student loan debt to prove it. Right now I’m a licensed excess and surplus lines insurance broker and underwriter to feed those debt goons. Don’t get too excited.
My real passion, though (aside from The Lost Boys), is writing. I’ve been doing it since I was nine and taking it pretty seriously since December of 2007. I mainly write novels of the young adult fantasy variety and should be scouring for agents soon.
